JESUS CHRIST
IS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS THE POWER TO MAKE BELIEVERS “CHILDREN OF GOD”
Let us explore the
scriptures to see whether anyone else in the history of the world ever affirmed
that he had the divine power to adopt men and women who followed him as his
true brothers and sisters, thereby converting from children od Adam and Eve
into children of God, the Almighty Creator of the entire universe
The
Gospel credited to John, the Beloved Apostle states thus:
12 But to
all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become
children of God; (RSV)
John 1:1-19
1:1 In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was
with God in the beginning.
3 Through
him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
5 The light
shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
6 There came
a man who was sent from God; his name was John.
7 He came as
a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might
believe.
8 He himself
was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true
light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
10 He was in
the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not
recognise him.
11 He came
to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
12 Yet to
all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God--
13 children
born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but
born of God.
14 The Word
became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory
of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 John
testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I
said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.'"
16 From the
fulness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.
17 For the
law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No-one
has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has
made him known.

John 1:1-19
1:1 In the

2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and
without Him nothing was made that was made.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and
the darkness did not comprehend it.
6 There was
a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 This man
came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might
believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear
witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light which gives light to
every man coming into the world.
10 He was in
the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
11 He came
to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
12 But as
many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to
those who believe in His name:
13 who were
born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but
of God.
14 And the
Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of
the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 John bore
witness of Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who
comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.' "
16 And of
His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
17 For the
law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No one
has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the
Father, He has declared Him.

I have
nothing to add or subtract from these divinely inspired writing of an ordinary
fisherman. Who taught him? The Almighty, the source of all knowledge! Now,
critically analyse each sentence as a natural scientist and see whether
Christians are making a foolery of themselves or it is actually you, the
worldly unbeliever, who is really a certified fool! (Rev. Prof. J. J. Kenez) I
